Jenna's Boudoir Session
“I had thought about doing a boudoir session for over a year. But it was always, “when I am more in shape” or “have more free time”. This year I have had a lot of changes, and I wanted something to celebrate that I am strong and capable, my boudoir session with Sarah made feel empowered and sexy. I enjoyed the process- choosing outfits, getting hair and makeup done, and then spending time in the studio. Celebrating yourself, for yourself, and taking time for yourself is so important. I was really excited that Jenna wanted to do something to celebrate herself because I already know she is a badass entrepreneur with killer hair skills. She spends her time and talent helping others look their best, so she deserves to treat herself. Every outfit she brought was perfect! I felt like they showed off the different sides of her personality so well from the Calvin Kleins to the emerald bodysuit to the faux fur. I offer some suggestions and basic guidance, but I won’t tell my clients exactly what to buy because I want your personality to really shine through like Jenna’s does. And then she proceeded to rock the heck out of her session! I even think I’m gonna have to name the pose where she’s on the upside-down chair after her.
I’m glad that Jenna talked about why she kept putting off her boudoir session in her testimonial. Because so many women are thinking the exact thing; that they will do their session when they look different or when the timing is better. It’s taken me a long time to learn this, but you can have goals for your body to look or feel different while still loving your body as it is. Boudoir is not about having your vision of a perfect body. It is about loving the body you have. It is about seeing yourself how the people who love you see you. So go ahead and do your session even if you have different goals for your body. And if you meet those goals, just do another session! The best time to start loving yourself was years ago. The second best time is today.
