Asheville Boudoir Photography, What to Expect

You’ve probably never done something like this before, and don’t know what to expect. It’s normal to be a bit nervous with something new, but I promise it’s worth it! So I’m going to tell you all about what happens the day of your boudoir session!

First, you start the day of your session by coming to the studio and getting pampered. You’ll get your hair and makeup professionally done by one of our all-female team members. We spend the time getting to know you even better and letting you relax and enjoy a day that is all about you. You’ll be offered drinks (water, soda, wine, etc…) and your choice of whatever music makes you feel amazing.

Then we’ll lay out your wardrobe for the session. We will go through what you brought, and you can try on any of the 100+ items in our client closet that ranges from size XS to 4X and includes everything from bodysuits to robes to tights to bras to body jewelry and more. You will have time for up to five outfits during your session!

The session itself is fun! I will 100% direct and pose you. You do not have to know how to pose at all or how to “be sexy.” I pose you from head to toe all the way through your session. I’ll let you see one or two images on the back of the camera so you can see how well everything is turning out and know that you can trust the process. Most clients, right after their session, comment that it was way more comfortable than they expected.

After your session, you will take an hour break. There’s several cute places to go get food or coffee near the studio. Then you’ll come back in and get to see the photos right away during your image reveal and ordering session! You’ll get to see product samples and choose the way you want to enjoy your images.
